Islamic Society of Columbus Indiana (ISCI) is a relatively new community with a small, yet steadily growing Muslim population. We are situated in Columbus, a small town in Southern Indiana that is about 42 miles south of Indianapolis. The community started praying in an apartment and then moved to a small room within the United Way building on 13th street. In December 25, 2009, a fire erupted in the United Way building and all tenants were displaced. In light of that situation, the community got together and decided to purchase a new location to be our permanent place of worship. This is a great achievement for this community since this is the first house of Allah in the Southern part of Indiana.
